WORKING FOR THE ALBANIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY
◆ Illyrian Financial Organization – An institution that will provide banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, and com- munity non-profit organizations. This non-profit entity will focus on offering financing at lower interest rates, high interest rates on deposits and financial services that will meet our growing needs. These benefits will ensure that our community continues to thrive for generations.
◆ Common Sense Political Club – The club’s role is to support elected officials and candidates seeking office that embrace our community and that will champion our causes. The club will be bi- partisan, allowing for local, state and federal candidates across the political spectrum to meet with our community and collectively use our voice to shape policy, legislation and budget.
◆ Albanian Lobbying in Washington, D.C. – Through education and advocacy, Albanian issues will be brought into American polit- ical discourse. Efforts will focus on the concerns of the Albanian American community and the issues facing Albanians in Albania, Kosova, Montenegro, Chameria, Presheva Valley, and North Mace- donia. Through dialogue with domestic and foreign policymakers, we will formulate strategies and solutions to address present-day needs and ensure stability and prosperity in the future.
◆ Albanian American Calendar – With a growing community, it is vital to establish a universal calendar that will allow posting of ac- tivities, events and information that will keep our community con- nected and informed.
The following pages offer glimpses and updates on some initiatives and events that we have been working on throughout the year.
The time to act is now, get involved, and make a difference for yourself, our community, our children and our future!
