 TALKING POINTS
It is helpful to emphasize certain aspects of our mission to particular audiences. Here are some suggested examples for talking points:
FOR STUDENTS
MKE Fellows is a community of driven African-American males who attend college all over the nation and aim to become future leaders in Wisconsin. They all have mentors who help guide them through their college years and dedicated program staff to provide resources for success. There is unlimited potential in our young men, and countless amazing experiences & opportunities for growth that their peers would
not usually have access to.
FOR SUPPORTERS & PARTNERS
MKE Fellows is an initiative focused on offering real hope and opportunity to young, diverse talent in our state. We teach students professional hard and soft skills, and help them apply it to throughout their lives and career. We provide world-class mentorship and opportunity for internships through partners similar to yourself. Some supporters even donate the means to exclusive events and social outings to enrich our student's experience and impression of Wisconsin. Our goal is to have them return here after graduation and become highly employable, engaged leaders in the community.
FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR
MKE Fellows is a powerful initiative offering support to academically talented African- American young men in Wisconsin to ensure that they graduate from college prepared for career success. MKE Fellows works in close partnership with leaders of universities and local corporations to provide Fellows with the internships, support, connections, and resources they need. We have five core pillars: internships, mentorship, professional development, scholarship opportunities, and civic engagement.
