• Ashomepricescontinuerisingfasterthanwagesinamajorityof U.S. cities, NAR and its 1.4 million members have made housing affordability a top advocacy priority in 2020.
• Notjustapriority,NARwantstogoastepfurtherandbecome the thought leader on the issue in D.C. and around the country.
• This was the motivation behind NAR’s 2nd annual Policy Forum on February 6 at the National Press Club in Washington.
• Inadditiontodiscussionsonissuesthatmostsignificantimpact housing affordability, NAR unveiled separate reports on zoning, accessory dwelling units, and a White Paper calling on Congress to consider additional home ownership incentives within the U.S. tax code.

• NARhighlightedstatisticsshowingthatthenetworthfor homeowners has increased 15% since 2013, while net worth for renter families declined roughly 9% over the same period.
