Origin of the Proposal
• NARhadreceivedrequestsfromMLSsandbrokermembers across the country seeking clarity around limited-exposure practices, like “coming soon” listings, for which there are no explicit guidelines.
• TheNARMLSTechnologyandEmergingIssuesAdvisory Board, made up of brokers and MLS executives, developed the proposal in consultation with brokerage and MLS leaders across the industry.
• TheAdvisoryBoardrecommendedtheproposaltothefull committee in September and sought member feedback via a REALTOR Magazine article.
