• NARPresidentVinceMaltahasrecentlyinitiateda Sustainability PAG, tasked with making recommendations on NAR’s role in helping members, the organization, and the broader real estate community do the following:
o Become more resilient in the face of extreme weather events
o Possess more sustainable business practices o Ensure our efforts complement our policies
• Extremeweathereventsareincreasinglyaffectingproperty values, communities, infrastructure, and transactions.
• It’simportantthatweadvocateforandtakealeadershiprole in shifting the national mindset to ensure vulnerable areas adapt to ensure they can withstand and bounce back more quickly from extreme weather events.
• ThisPAGwillresultinthecreationofareporttobe presented to NAR’s leadership team that will help NAR help
