Engine was in good running condition.
Bought for restoration and repaint into its original livery. Green/White.
Full strip down. Remember to take plenty of pictures to help with rebuild. Also label and list parts to go for repairs. Remember to keep copies.
Repairs to panels and check fuel tank condition. Always take advice from specialists. Sealing type paints are available for inside tanks.
Frame and small parts have been sent away for powder coating. Found a local firm who did excellent job at a reasonable price. Tank, mudguards and side box covers sprayed.
Always start a rebuild with new stock of nuts and bolts. Again, always take advice from specialists they can supply original threads and safety quality. Fifty-year-old nuts and bolts go to recycling skip. Also, top quality chroming can be expensive but does give you a pleasing result.
FB up and running with new rebuilt wheels and new tyres.
