participated in the Pan Am Games, Olympics, World and Continental Championships. Not only will they enable us to provide excellent race management for all regattas and fleets, they will also be a wonderful resource as our Members train and develop their skills. Squash & Sports
While not all Members enjoy the chance to travel and enjoy sailing through the winter, they remain active in a multitude of Club activities offered at the City Clubhouse. The Club hit a new record of 251 adults participating in Winter Squash Leagues. The Squash Club Championships run from February 1st – May 2nd, with a Member/Guest Squash Doubles Tournament being organized for late April. Four RCYC Toronto and District Squash Teams participated in the Ontario Squash Doubles League, and a Friday Night Drop
In squash round robin was introduced this winter. For our youngest squash players, a very popular Little Junior Racquets Program was introduced on Saturday mornings.
Another addition this season was the Fitness Speaker Series. Three of RCYC’s Personal Trainers offered complimentary lectures on Muscle Activation Technique and Strength Training for The Aging Population. These lectures were welcomed by many, including the Lawn Bowling section who stayed active all year and introduced a second ‘indoor’ mat for their sold-out afternoon Sports Hall matches!
We are proud to keep Members of all ages fit and focused on their health & well-being.
Enjoy, and I will see you at the summer season kick off, Sailebration.
