It was quite hot outside. A little boy sitting close to me went above all my expectations at the young age of seven years old. He removed his hat from his head and offered it to me to give to the little girl so that the heat didn’t exhaust her any further.
Attending the festivities was a young Petrolia girl who recently underwent a series of chemotherapy treatments. As

The reason for my letter is the
billing me $49.42 for delivery? I’m a senior, so a simple explanation please.
The following is a letter recently written to Hydro One:
circular pie chart included with the July bill: “Shedding light on your Hydro One Bill.” It explains that 51.2 cents of every dollar billed goes to generation and 36.4 cents is to delivery cost. Sounds logical that making the electricity costs more than delivering it.

Dear Hydro (Kathleen) One,

PS: Kathleen, should I be thanking you for the 8 per cent provincial rebate and the Ontario Fair Hydro Plan that claims, on my bill, it saved me $16.01 or just be thankful your new wind turbine projects are on hold and my bill will only increase at the rate of in ation?

Every summer, as people go off on vacation, donations slow, but Hartman says this year is worse than normal.
But she says during the summer the need is still great. Children are home from school or going to day camps and still need snacks. And the every day needs of a household don’t stop in the summer.
Hartman says monetary donations would also be welcomed. “Sometimes money is better because I can just go and get exactly what we need.”
