Static force is delivered incrementally, so there is progressive improvement in the flexion. Foot is positioned on a shaped pillow that matches the anatomy of the posterior aspect of the ankle. This pillow is se- cured to a stiff base board with a hook-and-loop fastener so it can be easily adjusted to fit the patient’s leg length. Straps are hook- and-loop positioned on the bottom of the base board. Includes new extension wedge that slips under the thigh so knee can be extended if indicated.
