• I ncreased patient compliance
The Dorsal Night Splint may also be used for
virtually any condition where stabilization of the ankle in a neutral position is desired.
Other indications:
• Severe ankle sprains
• Achilles tendonitis/repairs
• Foot drop/neurological deficits
• Stroke patients
• Muscular strains
• Sore heel/heel pain
Child Dorsi Stretch Night Splint. Bilateral hook & loop straps adjust ankle/foot posi- tion. Can be used for Post Achilles Tendon lengthening. Breathable padded liner for comfort. Non-ambulatory. Fits left or right leg. Latex free.
Darco Body Armor® Dorsal
Night Splint. The only night
splint on the market today that
actively engages the windlass
mechanism of the foot. The toe
strap dorsiflexes the 1st MPJ to
provide a specific and sustained
stretch to the plantar fascia and a
sustained low load stretch to the
flexor tendons, Achilles tendon and calf muscles. Loading the windlass
mechanism naturally brings the
foot/ankle to a near 90-degree
angle, thus eliminating the “lever effect” and the resulting pressure on the apex of the ankle. The splints elastic connector ring allows for natural flexion of the foot and toes during sleep and gently returns the foot to the dorsiflexed position as muscles relax. The low-profile design allows for maximum user comfort and compliance. One size fits all, so the right size is always on hand—while inventory is reduced. Latex free. 0815-18-927 $52.50
Dorsal PF Night Splint.
Patients prefer less bulky,
cooler, lower profile dorsal
models. Wide neoprene
calf and toe straps along
with gel padding on the top of the foot help reduce pressure points. Larger forefoot accom- modates wider feet. Our new flexible shell and plastic-free bottom offers safer nighttime ambulation without compromising the ability to hold the foot at 90° during rest. Latex free.
D2TM Night Splint. A dynamic cord offers a constant low-load force, which adjusts to changes in muscle tone throughout the night. A gradual stretch can be applied during the acute phase of injury and easily progressed as toler- ance increases. The articulating shell promotes greater comfort and safety while walking, so the splint may be worn both at rest and at night to maxi- mize gains and help speed recovery.
To resume activity in the shortest time possible, treatment should incorporate a combination of night splints, orthotics, stretching and cold therapy. Night Splint usage should be encouraged even after recovery to help maintain flexibility and muscle length. Latex free.
