PosturePalsTM. Innovative adhesive spinal supports, designed by a muscu- loskeletal physiotherapist, help manage spinal alignment or posture. Learning how to maintain the correct posture helps pa- tients to move, feel and look better.
They work in three ways:
1. RESTRICTION. Helps to prevent poor posture by maintaining the spine at or near its neutral (unloaded) position.
2. RECOGNITION. Aids in drawing the user’s attention to the positions or activi- ties that take the spine out of the neutral posture. Being mindful of problem activi- ties, the patient can then modify activities accordingly.
3. RE-EDUCATION. By force of habit, slouching feels normal or comfortable and correct sitting feels abnormal or awk- ward. To correct this anomaly, the elastic characteristic exerts a gentle correcting force whenever posture starts to slack. The slight pull prompts users to improve posture, using their own muscles to im- prove strength and endurance. Through repetition and constant correction, a new “healthy” posture will be learned.
PosturePals are not meant to hold the body rigidly in a upright position. They rely on you responding to the corrective feed- back. The goal is to maintain good posture while feeling little or no stretch from the device.

Taping Dynamic Tape
Dynamic Tape®. Specially designed, highly elastic tape contributes energy into the kinetic chain. Developed by a musculoskeletal physiothera- pist, Dynamic Tape does not limit ROM like rigid tapes, but rather allows full range while still providing strong support where needed. The unique properties and four-way stretch material permits taping in ways not previously possible with rigid tapes, non-wovens or Kinesiology tape.
Provides elastic energy to resist,
facilitate or inhibit, offload or de-load soft tissues, or to use in addition to the normal proprio- ceptive, neurophysiological and circulatory effects of conventional tapes. The tape can act as a second muscle with the elasticity mimicking the action of the injured muscle. Dynamic Taping methods are completely different from Kinesiology Taping or other taping methods. It is easily incorporated into clinical practice to enhance the effectiveness of treatment immediately. The result is a genuinely biomechanical approach to taping.
Extremely soft to the touch and highly conformable. Adhesive has been independently tested and rated as nonirritating, nonsensitizing and nontoxic. Applied in thin strips, it enhances the skin’s ability to breathe along with the highly breathable fabric. Dynamic Taping allows water through to the skin, yet can be patted dry in seconds. The end result is a well tolerated, long- lasting tape that is quite possibly the most comfortable athletic tape on the market.
