is still active in the operations of the NASWA,
rode with Peter for years and supports his
devotion the U.S. Military and to the safety of
his community. His legacy is an important part of what our family strives to build through the families and friends who stay with us at the NASWA regularly and those new to us who are discovering our sense of grati- tude and heart-felt hospitality. This run brings it all full circle and enables us to give back to Laconia in my father’s memory every year,” she adds.

The North East Motor Sports Museum located just south of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Rt. 106 broke T
ground in September of 2015. Construction of the museum was completed in the Fall of 2016. For 2018 the museum will feature a special exhibit keyed to the 1973 International Six Days Trials event held in Massachusetts. As a part of that exhibit the Museum will also feature the ROKON motorcycles that were manufactured in Keene, New Hampshire and competed in the ISDT that year.
Along with rotating special exhibits, the museum in general will showcase the rich history of all motorsports that took place in New England from motorcycles to stock cars, midgets, sprint cars, dragsters, sports cars etc. Historically, New England’s tracks dating back to the very early 1900’s reflect a very diverse culture of all motor racing. New England produced some of the world’s top riders and drivers in all motor sports disciplines.
The non-profit museum is constructed on leased land from the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It will house a varied permanent collection of race vehicles, feature special exhibits and house an extensive collection of race memorabilia.
The AMA sanctioned Gypsy Tour on June 10 will go from Laconia Motorcycle Week® headquarters to the new muse- um and then to the international FIM Vintage motorcycle races at the Speedway on June 10. The Gypsy Tour will be a fundraiser for the museum. For more info nemsmuseum.com. #
