CNAMPING, RACING AND ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS TOP MOTORCYCLE WEEK AT NHMS
ew Hampshire Motor Speedway is a must-stop desti- nation with camping, racing and entertainment for riders during Laconia Motorcycle Week®.
The Loudon Road Race Series will
compete in round three of Champ-
ionship Cup Series racing, and the
Granite State Legends Cars, which
are powered by motorcycle
engines, will race in the Road
Course Series. Throughout the
three days (June 19-21) there will
be no shortage of action with over 30 races on the 1.6-mile road course. Divisions include classes such as Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula 4, Formula 40, Formula 50, GP, Grand Prix, GTL, GTO, GTU, Motard, Moto 3, Sportsman, Superbike, Super Singles, Supersport, Super Twins and Thunderbike with the ASRA Team Challenge on Friday, June 19.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a top destination for riders during Laconia Motorcycle Week®, June 13th to the 20th, with on- and off-track events throughout the nine days of motorcycle mayhem. Racing at The Flat Track and New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s road course bookends a week-long motorcycle celebration along with day and night entertainment and camping making the speedway home base for riders visiting the area.
The North East Motor Sports Museum, located on Route 106 North in front of The Flat Track and next to the speed- way’s south entrance, will be open Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 21. Several vintage flat track motorcycles will be added to this year’s collection of racing motorcycles that are already on display at the museum along with a motor- cycle swap meet on Saturday, June 20.
With the speedway centrally located on Route 106, the main corridor to Laconia, and just 20 minutes south of Rally Headquarters, it has become the perfect camping spot for a home away from home during Motorcycle Week. Whether it’s tenting, dry camping, spots with water and power hookups or amazing views of the racetrack with the opportunity to take a few laps on-track, NHMS has it all.
SCHEDULE:
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is the home for the best racing in the region and will host events on the 1.6-mile road course and The Flat Track’s 0.25-mile dirt track. Last year, the speedway built the new Flat Track to add an elec- trifying new chapter of racing to its season lineup. AFT’s Laconia Short Track has will be on Motorcycle Week open- ing weekend, Saturday, June 13, bringing “America’s Original Extreme Sport” and bar-banging dirt racing to the region.
- June 12-21: North East Motor Sports Museum
There will be no shortage of memorial and charity rides starting, ending and making a visit to the speedway throughout the week, but it’s the Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter Motorcycle Ride that headlines the rides on Wednesday, June 17. This ride will include majestic views of the state, laps around the famed racetrack and act as a fundraiser to support children’s chari- ties throughout New England.
- June 20-21: Granite State Legends Cars Road Course Series
- June 13: AFT’s Laconia Short Track at The Flat Track
- June 17: Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter Motorcycle Ride
- June 19-21: LRRS Round Three
- June 19: ASRA Team Challenge
- June 20: 97th Annual Loudon Classic
The 97th annual Loudon Classic Middleweight Grand Prix will headline the second weekend on Saturday, June 20. Known as the longest-running motorcycle race in America, the Classic has been held on-site since long before the speedway was built, when it was simply a road course known as Bryar Motorsports Park. The weekend will bring three Championship Cup Series regions (Northeast, Mid- Atlantic and Atlantic) together, with riders traveling from as far as Florida.
