signature hospitality for 84 years. The family is proud of being a part of the 96-years history
of Laconia Motorcycle Week and being “home” to thou- sands of riders who enjoy returning to the comfort and casu- al atmosphere of its waterfront rooms and cottages. The Resort’s outstanding reputation for food and beverage options at The Blue Bistro and NAZBar & Grill, likewise bring new visitors to experience “The NAZ” for themselves.
Central to all rally events and locations, and the hub for any scenic ride, The NASWA is a favorite “park and walk” des- tination. This year, water shuttle rides from its docks, offer an even more convenient and fun way to reach The Weirs action-packed town center. Thanks to neighboring East Coast Flight Craft, the family-owned leading dealer of Cobalt, Malibu and Axis boats, rally attendees can enjoy wind-in-your-face rides on land and water!
Laconia Motorcycle Week at The NASWA also brings spe- cial events like the Official 96th Birthday Celebration of Laconia Motorcycle Week on Wednesday, June 12—“Let us ALL eat cake!” and party with live music and waterfront libations.
The NASWA Resort has it all—from single rooms to suites with waterfront balconies, to 1-2 bedroom lakefront cottages with private screened porches, The NASWA even provides cleaning rags for your bike and welcomes four legged riders too, being biker and pet-friendly!
And don’t miss the Annual Miss Laconia NazKini Contest, Thursday, June 13, with custom bike builder and emcee Jody Perewitz--not only the World’s Fastest Woman but the one voted “Motorcycling Woman of the Year” by Cycle Source Magazine. Cash prizes of $2,500, thanks to spon- sors, Automotive Specialties’ Rich Paillucci, Budweiser and East Coast Flight Crafter’s Ryan Cardella and Jason Gelais, help The NASWA attract the area’s finest to strut the dock offering eye-candy and a fun afternoon break to some of the most enthusiastic bikers in the country.
For four generations the Makris family has been dedicated to the tradition and legacy of Laconia Motorcycle Week and invites all bikers to rest their bikes and boots and to rejuve- nate for the next day’s ride. At the resort, guests can eat, drink and enjoy the full rally experience, finding accommo- dations, fine and casual dining and the only waterfront beach bar in town. The NAZBar & Grill’s lunch and dinner menu is hearty and diverse and the waterfront beach bar serves up all-day fun with tropical cocktails, cold and craft beers and live entertainment.
Proudly maintaining its status as the oldest rally in the coun- try, Laconia Motorcycle Week has for 96 years, heralded the opening of the northeast riding season as the first of the “Big 3” rallies, followed by Daytona and Sturgis. The Makris family, now for four generations, over 84 years, shares pride in how it helped build Laconia’s sense of identi- fy with bikers, who appreciate the hometown New England atmosphere and the warm hospitality offered by the entire community.
“Brilliantly Crafted Cuisine” and a waterfront view is offered at The Blue Bistro, with both breakfast and dinner served with a waterfront view and nightly live entertain- ment. This cozy spot changes personalities by morning and night—the perfect way to start and end the day.
The team at The NASWA Resort—from the front desk and restaurant staff to housekeeping and the grounds crew--is attentive and responsive to bikers’ needs and enjoys making new friends and seeing old and loyal friends return for many years. Staying at The NAZ is truly like “coming home.”
The NASWA Resort annually presents the Official Kickoff Of Laconia Motorcycle Week—The Peter Makris Memorial Run, Saturday, June 8, now in its 13th year, honoring the deceased and much loved patriarch of the NASWA. The ride offers not just a spectacular police escorted, “feet up” ride, but a party and caliber of food that rivals any other rally in the country. And, staying at the NASWA gives riders prime staging for the run, the chance to sleep in before the bountiful breakfast and walk back to their rooms after the mega-party following the memorable ride.
Cold brews, fine food, the warmth of friends old and new— come visit The NASWA Resort and find your place to ride, rejuvenate and rally at Laconia Motorcycle Week.
