Hello, from the
YSturgis Rally Department, Jerry (left) & Lance (right).
Members of Yonkers MC and Lakeside Sharks put their mark on the campground picnic tables in the 1990s . . . a tradition that continues today at most campgrounds with picnic tables.
 THOUGHTS ON STURGIS
by Schultz
Main St., It’s all you can eat and I still wish I could take them on the road with me. On Main St., Weimers Diner does it right. In Spearfish, the winner-hands down- is Millstone Restaurant just off the second exit westbound on I 90, they are open 24 hours and keep the same menu and prices all year round, the food and staff are great.
es, I am going to Sturgis again-will as long as I can ride- and when I am out there, again, will do as much rid- ing as I can!
Just the Facts-Safety First
For Food Shopping – The only one I go to is Grocery Mart on Junction Ave. It is the best grocery store in the area, period!
Camping/Lodging – You’re on your own with the hotels- but for camping, my camp of choice is Chris’ Campground, it has been my home for the Rally for over 10 years now, and I love my campfire, which you can’t have if you camp anywhere in Meade County. If you don’t need a campfire (which makes no sense to me...) I would recommend staying at Full Throttle. There are also plenty of campgrounds all around Deadwood, Lead and Spearfish.
While riding through the Badlands, a great Gas & Rest Stop is at the Cowboy Stop in Interior, great staff and hos- pitality.
Watch the Weather – It can turn on you in minutes and in a bad way. Don’t ride with a buzz, wait it out. Keep two feet on the ground at all stop signs. Stay away from the center line. Don’t speed and ALWAYS watch for animals, day and night.
For Watering Holes – Three great ones are the Side Hack and the Oasis Bar in Sturgis and the Back Porch in Spearfish.
Ride safe and live to enjoy! H

For Food – There are lots around but here are some sure bets: For breakfast- Grace Lutheran Church at 1061 Sherman St. just off Junction Ave., one block south of

Sights to See – You have to check out the Michael Lichter Photography Exhibit, which is held out in the Buffalo Chip, east of Sturgis. It is well worth the effort to ride and check it out. Michael’s work is true art. The name of the exhibition is “What’s the Skinny”.
