New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a Must-Stop Destination for
Laconia Motorcycle Week
New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) is a top destination for riders visiting the area during Laconia Motorcycle Week, June 12-20, with on- and off-track events throughout the nine days of motorcycle mayhem. Racing bookends a week-long motorcycle celebration fea- turing vendors, demo rides and more.
“We are looking forward to welcoming riders to Loudon to enjoy Motorcycle Week at NHMS this June,” said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of NHMS. “There will be plenty of high-speed two-wheeled action for riders to enjoy as they make their way to and from Laconia.”
NHMS is the home for the best racing in the region, and there will be no shortage of action with nearly 50 races throughout five days on the 1.6-mile road course. The United States Classic Racing Association kicks off the on- track action with the FIM North American Vintage Championships, June 12-13. A variety of classes, ranging from 1950s tank shifters to modern small bike twins pro- vide a plethora of vintage racing action.
The racing continues June 18-20 when NorthEast Motorcycle Road Racing (formerly the Loudon Road Race Series) competes in round three of Championship Cup Series racing, highlighted by the 98th Annual Loudon Classic Middleweight Grand Prix. Known as the longest- running motorcycle race in America, the Classic has been held on-site since long before the speedway was built, when it was simply a road course known as Bryar Motorsports Park.
Riders can also visit the North East Motor Sports Museum, located on N.H. Route 106 North next to the speedway’s South Entrance. The museum will be open for extended days and hours and will include expanded motorcycle displays. Riders are encouraged to check NEMSMuseum.com for updates.
