Dave and Deb’s 7th Annual Covered Bridge Tour and Scenic Ride
Ride leaves from Rally Headquarters on Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30am.
Editor’s Note: As with all rides, this route (and lunch stop) is scheduled to change. Be sure to stop at Rally Headquarters to reg-
ister for this ride. Start off with a full tank of gas and plan for a few miles of dirt road
riding. Our volunteer guide, Dave, would like to suggest a $10 donation/rider to be donated to the Friends of Laconia Motorcycle Week Rebuild Fund.
Regarded as one of the best rides of the week, the cov- ered bridge tour is the gypsy tour not to miss! You’ll be riding for a full day with this 135-mile tour so, plan ahead! You will visit six historic covered bridges and some that you can ride through. Our friends at the Covered Bridge Farm Table restaurant in Campton, NH will welcome us with open arms as both our lunch stop mid-way and our final destination. All riders are responsi- ble for their own lunch and their own ride.
Our ride begins on US RT. 3 north to S.R. 175 north and take a left onto Blair Rd. across our first bridge, Blair Bridge (est. 1869). This bridge leads directly to our lunch stop at the Covered Bridge Farm Table. After a fulfilling lunch, we go head back onto US RT. 3 south and follow this for 3.2 miles and take a right on Fairgrounds Rd. for 3.1 miles onto Smith Bridge Rd., which leads us to the Smith Millennium Bridge (est. 2000).
Keep going southeast until you get to S.R. 25, make a right and go for 11.5 miles until you get to the village of Wentworth. The 3rd bridge we visit is the Wentworth Village Bridge (est. 2016), which will be on your right. From here, we will continue north on S.R. 25 and make a left on S.R. 25A west. After 14.5 miles, we will take a left onto S.R. 10 to River Road, which brings us to our 4th

A brief stop on the covered bridge ride.
bridge, the Edgell Bridge (est. 1885). Stay straight on River Rd. until you get to Breck Hill Rd. Take Breck Hill Rd. for 1.7 miles until you get to North Thetford Rd. Take another left and this will lead back to S.R. 10, which we will take until we get to the Intersection of S.R 10 and S.R. 302 East to the town of Bath. The Bath Bridge (est. 1832) is one of the most famous bridges and most photographed. We will stop at the Brick Store, which is the oldest General Store in the Country, for snacks, photo opportunities and a short break. From here, we will continue back onto S. R. 302 West for .1 miles and make a left onto Hill Rd. From Hill Rd, we will take Porter Rd to our 6th Bridge, the Swiftwater Bridge (est. 1849). From here, we will cross the bridge to S.R. 112, which is the western part of the famous Kancamangus highway. We then make a left onto S.R. 112 East for 18.7 miles until we arrive back on US Rt. 3. US Rt. 3 will lead us back to Blair Rd. and ending at the Covered Bridge Farm Table.
Depending on the size of the group and limited parking at some of the bridges, stops at all bridges is unlikely. Whether you’re riding with our volunteer tour guides and lifelong Laconia enthusiasts, Dave and Deb, or if you’re going it alone – the covered bridge tour is a must-do for all! H
Ride safe, ride smart and stay away from the center line.
