MILESTONES
1 PRIMARY SCHOOL STARTED
In 2000 the Primary School was started with a Nursery
and Pre Primary of 40 Children. The numbers rose and
an official primary school was initiated in 2003. In the
years of existence, the Primary School has produced
approximately 450 successful KCPE students. ‘Wings to
Fly,’ an Equity Bank initiative, selected a student whom
they currently support in a National Secondary School
in Butere.
2 FEEDING PROGRAMME
Mrs. Beatrice Barassa begun a feeding Programme in
2003 serving the primary School children with 1 meal
of Porridge in the morning and a meal of string beans at
Lunch Time. With the growth, the feeding programme Secondary School on Gitathuru Road
has reduced to 1 meal a day for both primary and
Secondary School Students.
3 SECONDARY SCHOOL STARTED
In 2006 the Secondary School was inaugrated with 11
students. This number has continued to grow rising to
112 students today.
4 ACQUISTION OF PLOTS
For Sustainability and to reduce rent costs we acquired
a number of plots (average size 3mx3m) in 2011 to
permanently house our students. The secondary School
Site was a Godsend as it has good visibily on Gitathuru
road and is seen on entry to mathare (top picure).
