The unique tabbed design allows pupils to find words and sounds quickly.
VOWEL SOUND DIRECTORY
The Vowel Sound Directory identifies the 19 different vowel sounds and puts them in to 3 categories: long vowels, short vowels and r-controlled vowels. By using the tabbed directory students can quickly access the vowel sound in a word and the different ways of spelling that sound.

VOWEL MAGNETS
Match vowel digraphs to photographic images during phonics instruction/ Phase 5 of Letters and Sounds. Hide the pictures around the room or display them on a whiteboard and share out the corresponding graphemes amongst pupils. The first pupil to correctly match all of their graphemes is the winner.
