Polar Plunge, Greenland, 2017 Keith Ladzinski After 6 days of being locked in sea ice during a 200-mile boat journey in the Greenland Sea during a climbing expedition, any signs of life were really welcome. As the midnight sun was setting, we came across this beautiful polar bear who inquisitively swam near our boat, investigating us as much as we were investigating him. This is a fleeting moment I captured as he was climbing out of the water onto an iceberg.
