SWEDISH CONNECTION Swedish-born racer Adam Flamholc started drag racing 15 years ago in the United States. During that time, Flamholc ran NHRA Pro Stock, ADRL and PDRA classes. After numerous trips between Sweden and the U. S., Flamhoc decided to pack up and move his family to the states, where he took up residence in Florida. When Flamholc isn’t racing, he is busy build- ing blown alcohol engines in his machine shop in Cape Coral Florida and also at his shop in Sweden. He recently competed the build of an engine for Mid-West Pro Mod series racers Jonas Aleshire and Chris Duncan. With his race engine building work and racing-related obligations he has in Europe and Russia, Flamhoc finds it difficult to find time to follow an entire racing series. When asked about his racing plans for the new year, Flamholc said, “I think I’m just going to do whatever races I feel like going to. I’m set up to run NHRA Pro Mod, Outlaw races in Bradenton, Orlando and Mid-West Pro Mod series and NMCA.”. Flamholc will be taking delivery of a new car in a few months. He has another ‘63 Corvette coming around April, which he will be cam- paigning in 2020. Make sure you look for Adam Flamholc’s ‘ ‘63 Corvettes at Bradenton Motorsports Park and Orlando Speed World during some of the Pro Mod racing action this year. If his new Corvette will be anything like his “old” Corvette, it should make for some very quick passes. adam flamholc prepares to launch during the snowbird outlaw nationals at bradenton motorsports park. photo by JIM WeSlaGer JAN. - feb. 2020 DRAG RACING MAGAZINE 25 MOTORSPORTS RACING MEDIA
