 Monaco Grand Prix weekend. A yellow Ferrari Dino at our disposal. What could be better? If you wanted to relive your
childhood fantasies of Danny Wilde and Lord Brett Sinclair blasting along the Basse Corniche from Nice to Monaco this is the way to do it.
We decide to drive the Moyenne Corniche purely for the great views 150 metres high above the glistening, brilliant blue sea of the Cote D’Azur, the stunning sights of Éze perched above you, the string of beautiful, famous sea-resorts such as Beaulieu-sur-mer, Cap d’Ail and Cap Ferrart with their numerous elegant Belle Epoque villas. The clear blue skies, palm trees swaying in the light, warm breeze, the idyllic peace of these towns and villages this Saturday morning is about to be shattered by the rip of the little yellow Dino, V6 howling as we head for the other reason we picked this road, the 180m tunnel great for our photo shoot and even better to hear the echo off the tunnel walls of the Dino’s engine. Next stop the Casino at Monte Carlo, where this joyous little Ferrari stops the crowds with its perfectly formed lines, the curvaceous front wings shown off to perfection in the stunning Giallo Fly Yellow of this splendid mid-engined sports-car.
In The early days companies like Alfa Romeo went racing to promote the sales of their cars, the old adage, “Win on Sunday-sell cars on Monday.” as true then as it is now but Ferrari on the other hand went racing because it was in his blood.
