Ferrara is a fantastic stop for food and wine lovers to visit, as you have ham producers, parmigiano makers, wineries, balsamic vinegar “acetaias” and grappa producers all within easy reach.
Some of the most delicious meals in Ravenna include pizzas with thick, fluffy bases and traditional Romagnoli dishes. The classic Romagna flatbread is not to be missed.

PADOVA
Like the rest of the Veneto region, Padova has several high quality wines. DOC wines are produced in five areas: the area of the Euganei Hills, the countryside of Bagnoli and Merlara, Corte di Correzzola and the Brenta Riviera. Delightful offerings from wonderfully fresh sparkling wines to rich and meditative recioto style red wines.
Parma is an elegant city and a must for any foodie traveller who happens to be in this area of Italy. It is maybe best known for Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese but it should not be discarded as a destination in its own right.
