Surtees was the only man to win the Senior Isle of Man TT three years in succession.He was a four time 500cc motor cycle World Champion, winning the title in 1956, ’58, ’59 and ‘60 before becoming the Formula One champion in 1964. Surtees remains the only person to have won world championships on both two and four wheels.Aged 83 John Surtees CBE passed away on the 10th of March 2017 with his family at his side.
