For years now, the Blancpain GT Series has played host to one of the fastest single-make championships in the world, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. This championship consists of over forty Lamborghini Huracán in Super Trofeo-confguration and will be present at four rounds of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and the Nürburgring round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. Fantastically organized and promoted by the SRO it has become the fagship European-based Blancpain GT Series, which combines the Sprint and Endurance Cups, of which the iconic Total 24 Hours of Spa is the highlight.There is always plenty of single-seater action as well during the weekends. The Formula Renault Eurocup will be present in Monza and Silverstone, with the Northern European Cup-version of the Formula Renault racing at the Nürburgring. The Italian F2 championship is part of the opening round at Misano, as is the Italian F4 championship. At the Total 24 Hours of Spa there will be even more single-seater action, with the young talents of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and the FFSA F4 joins the season fnale in Barcelona.Touring Cars championships and GT single-make series always promise close racing and with the Trofeo Abarth (Misano), Deutscher Tourenwagen Cup (Monza, Zolder and Paul Ricard), Lotus Cup Europe and Aston Martin Racing (both Silverstone), Belcar and TCR Benelux (Zolder), Peugeot 308 Racing Cup (Total 24 Hours of Spa) and Porsche Carrera Cup France and Benelux (Barcelona) we know we are in for some edge of seat track action. In Budapest the Blancpain GT Series joins forces with the FIA European Truck Racing Championship so expect a high-octane weekend.The Blancpain GT Sports Club will of course be present during the meetings as well. This a great series reserved for Bronze drivers, mostly keen armature racers and usually owner/drivers. We found the social side of the sport was important as this band of international friends meet for a weekends racing in Misano, Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Spa, Budapest and the grand fnale in Barcelona. The SRO racing club is always a lively place during the weekends, as drivers hang out together, usually with a fair degree of friendly banter. 19
