414 seconds… I certainly can’t argue with that. We were pushed back into the custom red leather seats as we roared through the Abingdon countryside, leaving my poor old girl in the distance as Alex our photographer followed us. Even with instant burst of acceleration the car still felt like an MG, it handled the same, just more stable, it hugged the road similarly, just more smoothly and it sounded fantastic. The drive captured the essence of my old MG, but with added performance and feel of a modern sports car.I would trust Frontline to do my car hands down, they would sit and design it along side me, using my car as the donor vehicle. Whilst keeping the same registration plates and chassis numbers, my dream would be created. I asked who is the main customer base and surprisingly it’s actually more women than men, they want a car with character but all the luxuries and reliability of a modern sports car, which didn’t really surprise me as a Frontline MG has 60’s sports car chic, loaded with personality, but with the bonus of being reliable and easy to live with. Part of the classic car culture is weekends in the garage keeping them running but if that’s just not possible or mechanics aren’t necessarily your forte, then a Frontline “classic” is the answer. On my student budget, I can’t quite stretch to my own Frontline conversion but that doesn’t stop me from making the most out of my MGB. I’m now past the point where I’m working on the car to make it drive and on to the most rewarding step of all, tailoring the car to my own needs and style. A classic car isn’t just some dated peace of out of date auto tech as some of my age group think, it’s a statement, a hobby, a way of life that can continue to satisfy drive after drive. I feel it defnes my character and that’s what a Frontline MG can do, you need personality to drive a car like that not just a decent bank balance. They ooze style and sophistication with a nod to past and an eye on the future, maybe the classic car purists might not agree, but cars are for driving and daily enjoyment and the Frontline has that in bucket loads.www.frontlinedevelopments.com
