4540 years later The Jam are still one of the most infuential English bands to date. To celebrate this last year the Direction Reaction Crea-tion exhibition in Liverpool exhibited everything and anything a Jam fan could want to see; from Lyric sheets to clothing, instruments and memorabilia. All very cleverly woven into an interactive expe-rience using live footage of the period. Televisions showed new reals of the day reminding us of the social and political unrest that the music movement grew out of. With so many British bands of the time becoming global phenomenon no other band had the dramatic infuence on the music and lifestyle of a miss understood youth than The Jam.Paul Weller still writes and performs today and an army of Jam fans are still keeping the faith – truly cool Britannia.
