Having a great Christmas and new year always presents that lull in energy for the frst couple of weeks of January, so when I got a call over the holidays from Nigel Gordon-Stewart asking me if I’d like to come and play with a new Zenvo TSR on ice I obviously said yes.I’ve known Nigel for a long time; we frst met when he was at Lamborghini, before that he was instrumental in bringing McClaren’s F1 road car to life. Since then he’s held the reins at Lotus and TVR, so learning he was now at Zenvo prompted some quick research. It was a name I’d heard, but couldn’t quite place. So I’ll ask Mr Google. The images of the Zenvo certainly got my attention, then various YouTube videos mapped out the story so far. Included in this story was a rather famous ex BBC presenter and his experience with the Orange ST1 Zenvo. Basically after a days punishment a cooling fan got jammed and the car caught fre... not really what you need on international television. However, I’d challenge any supercar manufacturer to have not had a car catch fre at some point. I’ve personally seen two Lamborghini Gallardo’s spontaneously combust. So let’s not let that put us off, I’m sure I’ll get the less sensational side of the story when I meet the team at Zenvo.71
