A week after I get home I’m invited out to the factory. I’m given the tour to see the new TS1 GT’s being built. These are the road cars that the TSR is the test mule for. They look stunning. Chatting with Christian Brandt the designer he explains the bespoke options of every build. There are no colour charts at Zenvo, you order just as you desire, then spec your interior down to every minute detail. They have even adopted the McLaren F1 idea of fying mechanics, so they don’t need a service network, they simply send someone from the factory to you for servicing or updates. Pricing on the TS1 GT looks like it will be circa €1.5m, so the million (or 1.5 million) dollar question is why would you buy this over a LaFerrari? The easy answer is because you can, but honestly I have driven the Holy Trinity and this car seriously stacks up. I think it’s fair to say the car has huge potential, but the company lacks the vision of Koenigsegg or Pagani who have charismatic leaders. Zenvo has a superb technical director in Troels, but the company has no leader and questionalable management capabilties. There is plently of experienced talent in the industry to fll these gaps and when they put the right team to support Troels and start making decisions based on knowledge and experience rather than shareholding they’ll be right up there.Personally I can’t wait to get the TS1 GT out on the road. Mine will be Red with Carbon trim…81
