Born and raised in Switzerland of Albanian origin, Doruntina Azemi is now founder and creative Director of her own fashion house. Doruntina’s great passion for art and flm led her to leave home at the age of 17 and move to London where she studied at the prestige London College of Fashion.Soon after graduation she set up a studio in London and worked on her own designs. What started as a range of artistic drawings and illustrations, soon transformed into seductive, wearable and truly enjoyable pieces of clothing. Doruntina’s work is inspired by her personal experiences, encounters and childhood dreams. Her collections and artistic work invite you into her world of characteristic storytelling. ‘’ My work is a refection of my life’s Journey.’’ Art, flm and literature are big infuences on her work and are expressed in every fne detail of her designs. Complex characters dressed in elaborate costumes are Doruntina’s inspiration. With her designs she brings costume and story into everyday life, transforming the wearers into imaginative, individuals and travelling storytellers. Her pieces are made with great discipline and love for the fne and delicate, with both honesty and a sense of humour. ‘’ I don’t only want to make clothing for the wearer, but also for their audience.
