Named after Hoxton, East London, with for the past 25 years has been the creative centre of London, comes an artisan Gin with attitude.
With its heady mixture of artists, writers and rock stars mixing seamlessly with super models, fashion designers and entrepreneurs cross pollinating ideas and changing the way everyone else does things. This is where street artist Banksy went from doorways and alleys to the auction house, where there's always a buzz in the air which feels as if anything can happen. So the arrival of a new artisan gin was not surprising, but to be blended by East end drinks maverick Gerry Calabrese who has a reputation as one of the greats in London's bar and club scene.
Hoxton Gin is produced at one of the worlds leading micro distilleries using the nest ethically sourced ingredients. The original yellow labelled gin used botanicals juniper, iris, tarragon and ginger which are macerated for 5 days before single distillation in a 150 year old copper pot still to obtain the perfect and ultra smooth distillate, which is blended with their premium grain spirit and nished with natural coconut and pink grapefruit. Hoxton Gin is then ltered and rested in steel tanks for two months while all the natural botanicals harmonise.
A new Hoxton ‘pink’ gin has just been introduced that breaks all the rules and conventions of avour in gins. This new gin with attitude uses Juniper, Gunpowder Tea, Rosehip, Rose, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Orris, Liquorice, Camomile, Elder ower and Hibiscus Sugar. The pink gin can be served with grapefruit as a gin and tonic and makes excellent cocktails with touch of Prossecco and fresh raspberries over ice or a garnish of strawberry topping the crème fresh, Rosé wine and lemon juice ‘Hoxton Frosé’.
With spring around the corner it’s the perfect sundowner whether you’re outside a cool Hoxton bar, or on the deck of a superyacht, white or pink they both have serious attitude.
