  the vents, the lights all machined to perfection and it is this details that makes this car so wonderful, down to the fold out picnic seat in the boot. The styling is 60’s DB4 or 6, elegant and cool, but the modern proportions have been easily absorbed to make this beautiful British built modern classic deliver all it promises as a GT car for those long, continental journeys. Is it exciting to drive? Not really, as it’s not trying to be, so what about if like me you want a little more... you like the bespoke build and retro styling but you want something that brings out your inner hooligan, that you really can make that through the night balls out dash down to the boat in Cannes. For this you need the Speedback Silverstone Edition.
The Silverstone Edition launched at the Geneva show and ticks every box. The gorgeous retro styling, the total bespoke hand crafted British workmanship, but it has the DNA of Britain’s most famous motor racing circuit woven into its soul. The V8 is tweaked up to 600 plus HP and the twin tail pipes are fashioned to resemble the afterburners of jet  ghter. The paintwork is a luscious black called “ y by night” with a subtle self-stripe running through its centre line. The bumpers are gone, there are some subtle but menacing diffusers and splitters front and rear. The new mesh stealth black grille houses two purposeful driving lamps, the body coloured 20 inch forged alloys with the “afterburner” inspired pattern give it an aggressive stance, the brightware is milled from billet aluminium, chrome plated and then brushed
