IIt’s the last thing most of us think about on our cars, but they make a difference to performance and fuel economy that is
startling; Tyres, and they wear out, so unless you change your car annually you’re going to need to buy a set of tyres and it’s not cheep...
But believe me, it’s the one area you’ll actually feel a difference. We recently had to replace worn tyres on the Range Rover, unfortunately, this was the afternoon before we were due to do a trip from home to Italy and the only available option within our very tight time frame was a “budget option” so it was either these tyres or change our travel times (and that wasn’t an option), how different can they be? So as I roll of the Eurotunel later that day, I’m not even thinking about my tyres... but as I hit the fast motorway across Europe and my speedo is climbing into three figures they were suddenly the main thing on my mind.
