A unique moment in the history of the Triumph TR took place in March 2017. Sixty four years after breaking the land speed record for two litre production sports cars, the little Triumph TR2 MVC575 was offcially unveiled in a fully restored condition by Glen at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall and throughout the evening Glens fantastic titanic restoration achievements were celebrated alongside that of his muse and its motoring importance.The importance of Glen Hewett’s work on restoring and preserving the Jabbeke land speed record-breaking car for the future cannot be understated.You come to realise how profound the car is, not only did it set up the Triumph TR range of sports cars  for their success in sales and in motorsports, but that it created and secured thousands of jobs, not just in Coventry and the British motor industry but globally.This little car deserves its big place in automotive history and is coming up for auction later this year.
