The action on track is fantastic, you can always rely on Brands to provide a few spills and even the odd red fag. I’m not a great fan of rolling starts, but I suppose it keeps the repair bills down for teams. The main race was a one hour sprint with GRT Grasser Racing Team’s lime green Lamborghini Huracán leading from pole to dominate the race as they did in Monza. Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti took the frst again, but this time joined on the podium by two Audi R8 LMS’s of Team WRT so quite a difference from the Mercedes dominance of Misano and Monza, The works Ginette team took the top step and it was great to see Sin cars fronting a team, the perfect shakedown for their road car program. We are driving the Sin later this year which we’re looking forward to since meeting with them in Geneva a couple of years ago. Stephen Pattricks Bullitt Racing was still bedding in the team and the McLaren, which in fairness to Stephen was all that he was expecting when we spoke on Saturday. The one thing I know for sure is that Stephen will have had great fun all weekend.160
