With Grace, the glamour, the celebrities and the world media came to Monaco and Monte Carlo. The flm will reveal the incredible story of the Mille Miglia from its creation in 1927 to today; following a race that is a unique celebration of automotive art painted on the beautiful canvas of the Northern Italian countryside from Brescia to Rome... and back. Award winning director Hannes M. Schalle will continue his quest by profling the 2017 race, following pre and post-war cars throughout the race, driven by famous racers, and passionate amateurs alike. The flm will celebrate the unbeaten 1955 win of Sir Stirling Moss, study the history of the race, the great winners, and the legendary story of Ferrari driver Alfonso de Portago, whose tragic death in 1957 fnished the race as a competition forever. One of the principal characters in the flm is of course the Italian countryside... its people, their passion and the early summer vibrations felt nowhere else in the world.
