Taking a musical theme as inspiration for the range, each beer has an iconic song title as its moniker and a quintessentially British offering at its heart. Alongside an impressive portfolio of limited-edition special brews, BAD Co’s core beer range has recently doubled in size. The current range, comprised of Comfortably Numb (Pale Ale), Wild Gravity (IPA), Love Over Gold (Blonde Ale) and Dazed & Confused (Milk Stout) and will be joined by Whiter Shade of Pale (Oatmeal Pale Ale), Slow Rider (Grapefruit Easy Ale), Summer Breeze (Lime & Mint Pale Ale) and Satisfaction (Brown Ale).Craig and I sampled some of these cool beers in Monaco recently while at the Top Marques show with the founder David Brown, you may recognize that name as he is also the man behind David Brown Automobiles and the fabulous Speedback which we featured in the last issue. As you would imagine Bad Co. brews appear at festivals, food and drinks shows and exhibitions across the country. This team joins a merry band of brewing bandits – with the BAD Co. headcount having swelled from just two in 2014 to 16 today, with more jobs out on the market. The brewery’s continued success can be gauged by the increase in production from 8,000 litres in 2014 to an impressive 64,000 litres per annum. Owner, David Brown a true Yorkshireman, had this to say: “We believe that quality speaks for itself – we set up BAD Co. to deliver the best tasting brews we could. Alongside the hops, yeast, and core ingredients are hours of dedication from a passionate, knowledgeable team who are taking craft beer to a whole new level. We aren’t’ conducting amateur alchemy in a shed, this is an advanced production line, with international expertise coming together to deliver what we think is the best tasting beer in the UK. We’re immensely proud that consumers and the beer drinking public like what we are doing and this is refected in our ongoing growth. This growth will see us expand to beyond beer in the near future, providing a whole range of drinks under the BAD Co. brand”We’ll drink to that Cheers David
