John wasn’t really enamoured by pre-war cars so we focused on the 250 GTO. Our budget was then $5,000 per car. I managed to buy fve or six good examples which we then sold two or three years later at nearly double the initial purchase price. In more recent times during the 1980’s I bought the Thepenier GTO along with fve other cars for $300,000 and sold the GTO to Tom Price a very good friend in San Francisco.
