The great thing about the Blancpain series is the access, you can be right in the middle of the action. With the GT3 Endurance Cup cars taking the main pit garages, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Formula Renault cars are in the main paddock creating an adrenalin flled mini city of race trucks and hospitality units, so the energy is amazing as they drive through to the holding area at the pit lane entrance.The scorching Italian sun helped set the scene for the weekends racing as Milanese motorsport fans flled the grandstands of Monza Park, the atmosphere was fantastic. The entrance to the paddock was fanked by the Lamborghini hospitality venue with stunning mat grey Huracan Performante which made a spectacular centre piece by the entrance. Next door was the Pirelli interactive suite where you could race around a Scalextric version of the circuit with the winners naturally being awarded with Pirelli trophies.When the Super Trofeo Lambo’s took to the circuit the racing was close, this “gentleman’s” series is well supported by the factory and sees Lamborghini owners and keen racers from across the globe compete in evenly matched cars, so the racing is always close in this GT3 customer racing series.
