This, because it is clear that in this vision we are not facing a single story, but a renewal of the history of the times of victors and losers is still standing, with resentments reborn from the current dispossession, of the feeling of the laggards, that have been taken to the ropes by the moderns and their dragging towards the intermediate groups, led to real reservations of these people.
How to get the laggards out of the new reservations in which today’s society has led them? Is it true that we have taken them to those places? How do they know they are in reservations? This crisis, like all great crises in history, is indirectly caused by technology, social networks and their easy access through cell phones; it’s a fact that today anyone has a smartphone and through it has access and takes knowledge of the levels of comfort enjoyed by the modern and the average groups that surrounding, their spending levels, their scandals, their acts of corruption, and that makes possible the comparison, and immediately the certainty that this is unattainable, that it is beyond all possibility for them, that there is nothing to lose by deciding to gamble on everything for everything.
To that is added the political intentionality of the undemocratic extreme left parties,
who see that as their gateway to government control, everything has already been said. Why was this situacion not detected at the time? What were we in that we did not see? We are Latin Americans, we do not detect anything in time, there is nothing evil in this inattention is our carefree continent routine. You only react on fait accompli. What to do? First of all, understand that the insurgents are right,they were taken to the edge, to the ropes, they were fiercely shown what they were not and could not become, without awareness of the inappropriateness of that reality, such as that in a political democracy those affected were a high percentage capable of activating and changing the faithful of the scale, which is what is happening.
Second, above all taking care of democracy, the undemocratic far-left parties now have a great opportunity in this situation to lead this crisis, to assume the representativeness of the laggards and offer them the desired protection through the State, in a promise of
global welfare, fair wages, decent pensions, health, appropriate working conditions, all known promises, in exchange for less freedom, freedom that does not exist for them because to be free you must have minimal means of which they they lack.
There is in the design of the Action Plan, with long-term actions and others in the short and medium term, and our politicians must thus undertake it with determination and courage to accept the reality to which we arrived. We have all been guilty, those of the right and equally those of the center as those of
left, even those on the undemocratic left. Leftist politicians and leaders in Chile
also belong to the group of moderns, only intellectual differences exist between
both groups, but in their way of life we are all the same, seen from the laggards there is no difference between all of us modern, we are all privileged. That feeling It is clear, the mass of insurgents attacked representatives of the left alike. The cleavage is not already in the political ideas of the right or the left, but between the modern and the laggards; the latter are strengthened by social networks and their capacity for mobilization, and fortify by the political leadership of the undemocratic left.
Among the essential long-term policies must necessarily be education. It will be necessary to invest the maximum possible amounts in quality education for the children of the laggards, in serious, well-financed plans, and quality teaching oriented to the real needs of the country, so that there are jobs available for the graduates, in such a way to make them migrate expressly to modernity. This should be Chile’s main plan for the next 10 years, hiring the best international consultancies available, and joining the efforts of the whole nation, gathering the feelings of all in this goal. Scholarships generous to the most dedicated and capable, non-politicized management of the Plan. The short term must be dominated by the realization that we have all been guilty equally, right, democratic left and center, and that shared guilt should lead us to define the possible rebalancing of social coexistence, in an environment of less conflict that
allow us to rebuild security, national finances and the progress of our institutions.
