Dr Bonnie Pang is a sociocultural researcher in health, sport and education. Her internationally-situated research program “Rethinking Health Experiences and Active Lifestyles: Chinese Communities” (REHEAL-C) aims to build and connect the findings of Chinese diasporas particularly in the areas of social inclusion and ethnic relations to health and sport with a focus on social and mental wellbeing and physical activity engagement. Bonnie aims to
use this creative project to promoting thinking and dialogues that raise consciousness about emotions and subjectivities related to diversity and inclusion in health and sport. She is a Hong Kong Chinese-Australian academic based in England and is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow and AIESEP Young Scholar. She is an editorial board member of Sport, Education and Society.
Bonnie Pang is an illustrator and comic artist from Hong Kong. She graduated with a Master’s degree from The Academy of Art University and before that a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Resource Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With her passion in both subject areas as well as her conviction that art has the power to bring positive changes to the world, she has created comics about environmental issues, and heart-warming
stories about everyday life. Bonnie also illustrates children’s books, and her artworks are appreciated by readers all over the world.
Mary Cooper is an award-winning writer whose work embraces theatre, radio, television, film, digital narratives and podcasts. She has written more than 30 commissioned stage plays for theatre companies throughout England and Wales. Mary has written extensively for BBC Radio Four and her work has been short-listed for a Sony Award, the Imison Award and the Mental Health in the Media Award. Her recent radio drama “Edith Sitwell
in Scarborough” has been nominated for the Tinniswood Award 2020 for the year’s best radio script.
Xunnan Li is currently a PhD candidate of Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University of London. He is also an experienced English-Chinese translator and art festival director. His research interests include Chinese diasporas artists studies, transnational and intercultural theatre studies and global creative arts industry.
