Filled with the hubristic airs of the will to power, of amor fati, of love your fate and yourself cheerfully, Nietzsche proclaims the beginnings of our modern nemesis and crown of thorns, worn everlastingly, twenty-four seven, in our post-modern and exclusive, solipsistic humanism, rampantly disdaining solid philosophical foundations, indifferent to its well-honed maxims, to its noble ways, to its charismatic aims. Our hearts, drowned in melancholy, must witness how ancient philosophers and sages and grand humanists of the lofty order of Jesus Christ and Saint Paul, abandoned all things for the Divine Word while we abandon the Divine Word for all things.
Beneath many guises and disguises, too, our schools of modern sophistries crucified mysticism and the Divine Word in western humanism. Having crucified God and religion as a Freudian neurosis, as a Marxist opium, blinded by Darwinian naturalism, these schools positively influenced Heidegger’s “the
