For if the Idea of the Perfect Good were not to exist within Him, then it would have to exist outside of Him, or else where might it be, if not in the east, or west, or north, or south of His mind or existence?
If this were the case, He would not be the One, He, Yahweh, the True God, Lord of the Cosmos and of the Earth, of all things above and below, but He would be a non-jealous Platonic Demiurge of the wondrous Form-ward gaze, or Ialdabaoth, the jealous Gnostic Demiurge of the devouring Spark- ward gaze, seeking to consume, yet failing to do so, all of Sophia’s divine luminosity.
Why?
Because the Perfect Ideas would pre-exist Him, unless He co-existed with them pre-eternally; and without the Perfect Ideas, His omnipotence logically leads to the absurdity that 2+2 is 5, or that He creates both, lamb and tyger, heaven and abyss.
Yahweh’s beneficent divine fiat, not the eternal Ideas within His mind, is the first and efficient cause of all things. Because He creates them out of nothing, a unilateral and subordinate relationship is established between a Divine Creator and the created, in Judaeo-Christianity, negating the bilateral and reciprocal relationship between Demiurge and the World in Hellenism.64 Because Yahweh’s munificent creation manifests spontaneous order is the cosmos, both as spontaneous first cause
