synthesis, no reconciliation, no Hegeliana, no Metaphysics of Splendor.

Sofia, Lady Faith of Poetry 3⁄4 her Living Waters, her flowing Rivers, her ebbing Seas, proud and imperious 3⁄4 departs, just as Eurydice departs. She no longer leads the Living Waters of Faith towards Poetry’s salvation: Eurydice 3⁄4 Being. If in Blake’s SI, Lady Faith of Poesy demands the child’s absence to supplant him forever, in the Orphic myth, Faithlessness demands Eurydice’s presence in Hades to supplant her forever with absence: snow. Her loss is as immense as the loss of the living waters, the soul’s song 3⁄4 Poesy. To lose Poetry, the living waters, is to lose Eurydice, is the misery of error, of faithlessness, of disobedience. Orpheus’ everlasting punishment becomes humanity’s sufferings, its grief, as it embarks in its Odyssean nostalgia to return to Poesy’s paradise: Eurydice of Eden 3⁄4 soul verse, luminous, all light. Light maternal: Love eternal.
