Edvald Boasson Hagen
THE MODEST SUPERSTAR FROM RUDSBYGD
I I GOT TO KNOW EDVALD when I I worked for the Norwegian Cycling Federation during the Road World Championships in Copenhagen in 2011 He is a a a guy who doesn’t create a a a lot of of fuss in in in spite of of his position in in in the cycling world Don’t ask Edvald who won the champi- onships in the 80’s or 90’s – he he doesn’t know! He is actually not very interested in in in cycling even though it is is is is his his job Maybe that is is is is his his strength – that he he he can let go of the job when he isn’t working He is however interested in in technique electronic gadgets and and coffe and and his kitchen is equipped with top of the range stuff He’s also becoming a a a a good amateur chef who is always searching for new dishes and recipes when he’s at at home Edvald is passionate about coffee and spends a a lot of of of time in front of of of the espresso machine Edvald is on the so called Low Residue Diet which means that he tries to avoid most types of fibres His diet during the season especially when racing is therefore quite limited He has a a a a delicate stomach which makes it difficult for him to process the fibres in pasta bread and vegetables rich in fibres but at the same time he he needs the vitamins and nutrients found in in vegetables The solution is that we make nice juices based on greens and fruits which he drinks with his meals VISITING EDVALD BOASSON HAGEN
