701. NEWCASTLE COBALT GLASS HAMILTON
BOTTLE. 9.5ins tall. Bright cobalt blue glass, blob top,
embossed ‘J. G. GRAHAM/ NEWCASTLE’, entwined initials
t.m. between. The Graham business is listed at 16 Westgate Rd from 1885
to 1887 as a ‘Mineral Water Manufacturer.’ whilst James G lived at 56 Hedley Place. A short note in the Mineral Water Trade Review of July 1885 suggests the firm started that year. One of only two examples recorded, thus a significant North East offering. Excellent. (10/10) NR £1,200-1,500+

8ins tall. T.t, ch, strong black transfer ‘G. T. SCOTT
& CO’S/ FAMILY/ STOUT’ with central sharp pictorial of ‘Father Tyne’ t.m. Buchan Portobello
p.m to rear. Minute pin head lip nick, but generally a true “belter” on a considerable North East rarity.

703. HOCKINS ACME INHALER. 4.75ins tall. Off white, all over dark blue floral pattern covers the entire body, 8 lines of directions to front. A little llight staining/ crazing but a very attractive, and scarce, inhaler. (8.5/10) NR £40-60+
704. ALBAROSE TOOTH PASTE POT LID. 3.75ins diam. Off white, grey inner, black transfer. BREIDENBACH & CO/ LONDON. The last example sof this rarity was sold in BBR October Auction for over £1,000 with add ons. Under lip repair, bottom edge chips & crazing. (8/10) NR £300-400+
705. VERITABLE MOEILE DE BOEUF POT LID & BASE. 2.75ins diam. Strong
& deep blue & white transfer. covering the entire base as well. See easyliveauction.com for all aspects. Some minor staining but overall a very impressive looker. (9.5/10) NR £120-150+
