 set upon a base plinth, outward curving neck collar topped with a large knobbed lid, c. 1900. Classic Doulton artware stoneware salt glaze colours - lots of blue, the sprigged foliage includes areas of almost pink colour. Front panel features
sprigged type letters with a detailed Duke of Gordon coat of arms and drink title below. Front spigot. The Royal Gordon blend was a Scotch. Crack to foot (right side)and inside lid rim damaged - all viewable close up on easylive extra

LONDON SALEROOM REFUNDED
THEIR COMMISSION CHARGE!
Purchased both these from a MAJOR London saleroom (decades ago) and upon collecting from their posh reception foyer discovered they both had damages, not described. After some heated discussion the saleroom manager came through and
gratiously refuned the commission charged! Those were the days? Afterwards I drove down to Surrey and called in to see Burt Latham.
