181. HUDSONS DRY SOAP ENAMEL SIGN. 22 x 12ins. An all time English classic early pictorial - full image of period dressed washer woman. Some general wear, minor dullness - untouched/ as found.Very rare.
182. SCOTTS EMULSION ENAMEL SIGN. Large pictorial of fisherman with humongous catch draped over shoulder - Scott’s pictorial trade mark. Some general marks and edge flakes, overall fairly good.
184. SCRIBBANS & Cos RICH CAKES SHOP
DISPLAY CABINET. 33ins tall, 19ins wide, 14.75 ins
deep. Gold lettered top finial. Two internal glass shelfs, rear access door. Scribbans were and family run Birmingahm bakers started sometime prior to 1871 in Lodge Road, Hockley by Thomas Scribbans who died in 1904 and his two sons Thomas and John Henry took over. They expanded the business and moved to Little Aston Hall operating mostly door to door sales from horse and wagon. Acid etched letters to 2 side glass panels.
