ground - highlight wears as per photos - extra shots on easylive online. Some internal stain, but no chips or cracks. An exceptionally rare & early beer jug, maybe the first such BBR has offered in 41 yrs?
Courage & Co. Ltd, Anchor Brewery, Horselydown, Bermondsey, Southwark, London SE1 was acquired by John Courage in 1787,
and was officially registered in April 1888.They acquired the
Alton Brewery
Co in February
1903 with 77 tied
houses requiring
the brewery for
the production of pale ale.
  199. BODDINGTON’S BEER & STOUT BAR TOP JUG. 4.6ins tall. Small size stoneware jug with deep blue body, raised sprig like banner & trade mark shield - light brown on white. Doulton Lambeth base marks. Another
very rare offering. Exc/ A1.
200. HOARE & CO BROWN STOUT ASHTRAY. 4.6ins long oval. Facsimile beer bottle label in centre, with lettering around outer perimeter
wall. Wear to rim & label. Base transfer for Hancock & Corfield.
Brewery possibly founded as far back as 1492 with Sir John Parson’s brewery in
business during the 7th century. Red Lion brewhouse was built 1in 792. George Matthew
Hoare became a partner in 1802 and was registered August 1894 with 110 public houses, until acquired by Charrington & Co. Ltd in 1933. They ceased brewing on 23rd June 1934.
 Hancocks company was renamed Hancock Corfield around 1900 and after just a few years invested in a new factory based in Mitcham, Surrey - from manufacturing enaemel signs and trays
 the business expanded into other products primarily for the drinks industry.

cigarette. Unusual. No damages.
