- dubbed The Polo Player. Matt top section featuring horse riding polo player each side, lettering around
246. GREENLEES BROTHERS KING EDWARD V11 SCOTCH WHISKY BAR TOP JUG. 6.7ins tall. Mid brown salt glaze with 3 darker bands, large King pictorial in centre. Tiny pin head nick to lip - close inspection suggests it is an inmanufacture air bubble blow - easy low cost repair, otherwise very good. Various Doulton base marks. An exceptional rarity.

& CO, GLENFORRES GLENLIVET DISTILLERY, HOUSE OF LORDS SCOTCH WHISKY, LEITH & LONDON BAR TOP JUG. 7.9ins tall. A rather impressive (unique?) wide based jug narrowing to
the waist then flaring slightly towards the top. Striking dark blue top & lower band. Transfer set on an unusual mid orangey- brown section. Characterful glaze blob on the right. Buchan base mark. Exc/ A1
the bottom bulbous section. Frank Beardmores Fenton base p.m. - No 220. Faint lip hairline - see additional images on easylive. Displays very well.

252. TIT BITS 1917 TOBY JUG. 9.6ins tall. Green glazed standing figure toby
dated 1917. These were prizes given for various magazine competitions - the
gent holding a copy of, glazed blue. Made by William Ault who set
up his Swadlingcote pottery in 1887.
